Letter: Political signs removed illegally

It is against the law to take down or destroy political signs that are legally placed in accordance with the law — especially on private property along U.S. 278.

Recently, more than 100 Trump signs have been stolen in Beaufort County. Some of these signs were stolen from areas where signs of political opponents were left standing. People in charge of campaigns locally should inform their people of the law.
