Letter: Beaufort High event inspiring

On Jan. 28, I attended the Beaufort High School Academic Achievement Celebration to honor the students who earned all A's in the first semester and to recognize those who earned both A's and B's, regardless of the program of study.

Over the years, in one capacity or another, I was involved in planning for many similar academic events. But on this night, as I watched the last-minute preparations, I had a few minutes to reflect on the tremendous effort and coordination required for these types of events.

Therefore, I want to congratulate the students, the principal, assistant principal, counselors, support staff, Beaufort High School Strings, Beaufort High School Voices, JROTC, volunteers, and certainly not least, the parents, grandparents and friends who attended.

It took a lot of effort by many people to show our appreciation for student achievement at Beaufort High School.

Way to go, Eagles.

And for those who simply were not able to attend, you missed a beautiful classical event at Beaufort High School.
