Letter: It's up to immigrants to be part of society

Your recent article brought attention to foreign-born people living in our community -- not having assimilated themselves to the language, culture and neighborhood -- being at greater risk in regard to emergency services, education or employment.

The answer lies in not asking what we can do for them to change this matter but what can they do for themselves to become part of the society they have migrated to.
