Letter: Trump has no chance against Hillary Clinton

First, let me assure you, I am an independent voter, probably most frequently a moderate Republican. I am kind of a political junky. I watch all the debates for both parties. I am not a Hillary fan. I just don't trust her.

Having said that, after watching both sets of debates recently, I had one thought. If Donald Trump is chosen as the Republican nominee, Hillary will eat him alive.

At that point in the election cycle, voters will want substance and facts. Hillary is very smart, informed and articulate. She knows all the countries, all their leaders and the political situations in each. She can answer a complicated question with long and complex answers at the drop of a hat.

If Donald Trump stands on his bully pulpit (and you know he would) and calls Hillary names, then spouts off his one-liners like "I am going to make America great again" with no real plan, no understanding of how this world works, how the office of the president works, how the Constitution works, there is no doubt in my mind we will be at the coronation of the next Clinton president.

To all those Trump followers out there, please stop and think about that. There are candidates out there who can make it a fair fight.
