Letter: GOP debates show party of the clueless

The Republican debates were an amusing series of clueless individuals.

The fabricated stories -- from the Planned Parenthood film that never existed, to the claim the U.S. Navy ship count should be that of World War I or World War II, and the exaggerated threat of terrorism -- say much about their lack of facts.

Fact is, our present Navy would destroy the WWII German and Japanese fleets within hours, considering our present nuclear ships and weaponry. There was rhetoric about the B-52 bomber, an antiquated plane that doesn't need replacing. We have stealth bombers with all the bells and whistles when it comes to firepower. How about our pilotless drones?

Between 2001 and 2013, we've lost 3,380 Americans to terrorists worldwide, while in the same period of time we've had 406,496 American deaths by gun violence in the U.S.

There's a disparity in all their rhetoric.

They're all blaming the Middle East's problems on Obama, when it was the Bush administration that caused all the turmoil by invading Iraq, lying about weapons of mass destruction.

These jokers are running behind The Donald. Why? Because their lack of information and lack of governance in Congress has brought their own electorate to look elsewhere -- towards Trump.

Let's not forget "The Doctor," a hoot who puts you to sleep when he talks. I'd call him an anesthesiologist.

The rest need to find jobs other than government jobs. Possibly, McDonald's or Walmart, if they're qualified.
