Letter: California shooters sent plenty of signals

I am not a fan of profiling in general. However, in this one particular case, I believe certain individuals dropped the proverbial ball. I am speaking of a number of shooters at a firing range in San Bernardino, Calif.

We have been advised by the NSA to be on the alert for possible signs of impending danger. I am assuming there were others in attendance while the dastardly pair was rehearsing for their big scene. I mean, two obvious Middle Easterners (especially the Annie Oakley wannabe) should have aroused a degree of attention.

Without making an accusation, shouldn't someone there at least have contacted authorities of his concerns? This would give a heads up to investigators to place these two on their radar. Certainly if they pass muster, then they need not be approached or accused.

How about the person who provided the weapons or the ammo? No one observed anything suspicious?
