Letter: Reward teachers for innovative ideas

Why pay one person $90,000 when you have all the teachers in the county who daily invent new ideas to motivate and help students and other teachers?

Have them (the teachers) present and share their ideas that are workable for them. For those ideas that are accepted, the teacher could earn a bonus. You would probably find hundreds of workable, interesting ideas, and it would be an incentive for all teachers to find new ways, not expensive ones, to help students.

As a retired teacher, I understand classroom stumbling blocks and how teachers work to bypass them. Come on. Use the imagination you already have at your disposal.

Merry Christmas and a happier New Year.
