Letter: Christmas tree deserves more light

Hilton Head IslandOver the years, the Town of Hilton Head Island has spent millions on building beautiful parks around the island. So why, in 2015, do we still have to hide the town's official Christmas tree in the rear of a parking lot at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina?

I am willing to bet that many full-time residents and most tourists have no idea that the tree is there.

Could we consider, for next year, placing the tree in a more visible location, such as the new Shelter Cove Towne Centre park, where it could complement the Dove Street Festival of Lights display?
