Letter: Refugee numbers not a big problem
Ten thousand refugees may sound like a lot. But is it?
According to Wikipedia, there are 3,142 counties in the United States. That would mean an average of three or four refugees per county if we took in all 10,000. Hardly overwhelming.
Couldn't Beaufort County handle, say, four or five refugees without going under? Come on.
