Letter: Bluffton's bonanza may be its undoing
I find reading about the big-box stores coming to Beaufort County, mainly Bluffton, quite interesting.
You are turning Southern utopia into Northern congestion. What is interesting about it, to me, is that all the Northern people who left the noise, concrete, ugliness of big box, traffic problems, etc., seem to be delighted to have all this happening. Why then, did they move?
Ads in your newspaper tell us to shop local. That's a laugh. Who is going to be shopping local after the cement trucks have gone? I love local. Service and quality of product is so much better. Be careful, Bluffton, what you wish for.
