Letter: School board still just doesn't get it

BeaufortOur school board gives me a laugh. I have to laugh to keep from crying. The school board members have not heard what was spoken at the public hearing, letters to the editor or the petition with over 500 signatures. The board uses words like oversight and responsibility -- but never provides it.

Superintendent Jeff Moss knew when he premeditated abuse of his administrative authority for his personal benefit that the board was too weak and gutless to do anything in regard to his wrong and unethical activities. He was correct. Our weak and gutless board only said, "He did nothing wrong." There was no reprimand for wrong or unethical actions for self-benefit.

I would remind the board -- a member of which has referred to us as "loonies" -- that the public will be speaking at the polls at election time and in referendums.

I want to thank school board members JoAnn Orischak and Michael Rivers for their courage to stand up and speak in this debauchery.
