Letter: A sarcastic response to the gun-rights issue

This is an obvious push by some Democrats who have been manipulated by the left-wing gun-rights lobby to try to prevent terrorists from exercising their 2nd Amendment rights under the Constitution.

Owning guns is one of our basic freedoms, and once we begin with even the smallest gun regulation, we will be on that slippery slope that ultimately will lead to government confiscation of all guns that belong to peaceful, gun-loving citizens.

As you know, President Barack Obama is poised to undertake this action as soon as the time is right. As for innocent adults and children who are killed by some mentally unbalanced terrorist, that is a small price to pay to ensure terrorists' freedom to own guns.

Thank heaven for the NRA, which I am sure will always be there to protect gun rights for us and the terrorists.
