Letter: Here we go again with the Moss plan

The late, great Yogi Berra, a "Master of Malapropisms," once said in reference to some unrecalled happening: It's like deja vu all over again.

If he were still alive today, he might have the Jeff Moss saga in mind.

Among other similarities, Moss was embroiled in controversies in another Beaufort County (N.C. last time), and his wife was appointed to another newly created curriculum coordinator job. Hmmm, you've got to wonder if she also applied for that job behind his back, just like the director of innovation position she "earned" this time around.

Another saying, attributed to a perhaps more learned philosopher, George Santayana, goes: Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

There ought to be a novel here somewhere. Where is Pat Conroy when we need him?
