Letter: Try a local solution to road construction

I read Sunday's articles on the inability of contractors to finish road construction projects on time and on budget in Beaufort County.

I am reading a history of World War II, where I learned that the Army Corps of Engineers built a bridge over the Rhine in less than 48 hours while under heavy artillery fire.

Why not move the Parris Island firing range to Boundary Street during the upcoming construction? Maybe that will inspire the contractors to complete that project on time and on budget.
