Letter: Celebrate USMC birthday on Nov. 10

Just so your readers are not confused by your photo on Nov. 5, the actual date of the Marine Corps birthday is still Nov. 10.

It appears that Parris Island had a conflict with that date and had to celebrate the birthday on Nov. 4.

We Marines and our guests at TidePointe on Hilton Head Island will celebrate the birthday on Tuesday, Nov. 10, as set forth in Marine Corps Order No. 47, Series 1921, by Maj. Gen. Commandant John A. Lejeune.
