Letter: Stop rush to judge Planned Parenthood

This country should not have to be held hostage by politicians who wish to defund Planned Parenthood.

While I defend the opinion that no public funds should be used for abortion, the Constitution defends religious beliefs, and the current law already prohibits use of federal funds for abortion.

Let's just uphold the current law and not further encumber a woman who, for personal reasons feels, that an abortion is her only choice.

During my medical education in the 1960s, I saw far too many women dying of botched abortions. The pro-life group should show that on TV.

In addition, who is offering to pay for the cost of raising an unwanted pregnancy through the next 18 years of the unwanted child's life?

Luther M. Strayer
