Letter: Lowcountry hospitals treating heart and soul

Having just returned from MUSC in Charleston following heart surgery, I read with interest Rabbi Brad Bloom's column ("Hospitals should treat the heart and soul as well as the body").

I can attest to the fact that every staff member I encountered from registration, through pre- and post-surgery, to discharge provided the very best of care both physically and emotionally.

We are so fortunate here in the Lowcountry to have superlative physicians and facilities, including our own Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
