Letter: School board defense most disturbing part
The board chair's response comes across as someone defending his best friend, not someone who reports to him.
Wikipedia defines "good governance" as "how public institutions conduct public affairs and manage public resources." It goes on to say "good governance is the process by which public means are met for the needs of the masses as opposed to select groups." These two points really speak to the matter at hand.
My intuition tells me that the school board will defend its actions regarding Moss, nepotism and hiring, rather than admit to improper vetting, and passively allowing the manipulation of our rules and hiring practices. Guess they don't wish to go through the selection and hiring process again. They seem to display little interest in regaining control of our schools.
Moss may be a highly regarded educator, but his moral fiber is certainly in question.
