Letter: School board cannot repair its broken trust

So, let me get this straight.

Little Johnny (Beaufort County School Superintendent Jeff Moss) breaks the piggy bank so his friend (his wife) can have the money, some of which will be shared with him.

But before much of the money is spent, mom and dad (the school board) find out about it.

Johnny's friend puts the money back, and Johnny sort of apologizes, but not for breaking the piggy bank.

And the consequences?

Mom and dad will try to glue the piggy bank back together and "put it behind them." Really? That's it? What about Johnny?

This pathetic display of incompetence just highlights the reason Johnny thought it was OK to break the piggy bank in the first place.

Mom and dad clearly have no idea what it means to be good parents.
