Letter: SC's Graham needs to be sent home

South Carolinians are not blessed with an overabundance of competent elected officials.

Sadly, we have one who is more inept than most. Sen. Lindsey Graham, who brags about being in Iraq and Afghanistan more than 35 times, is at the head of the class regarding incompetency.

Our presidential candidate (who is polling at less than 1 percent) is so beholden to the National Rifle Association, he voted not to require a background check to gun purchasers. He represents a state that ranks among the highest levels of gun violence.

The senator deserves to be relieved of his duty. But much like the late Sen. Strom Thurmond, he'll be there for life.
