Time to submit comments against drilling, seismic testing off Beaufort County

I applaud the leadership of state Sen. Tom Davis, U.S. Rep. Mark Sanford and especially Beaufort Mayor Billy Keyserling in opposing the planned seismic testing and oil drilling in the Atlantic Ocean off our South Carolina coast.

As the vice president of the Friends of Hunting Island and a concerned resident of Beaufort County, I am encouraging all readers opposed to seismic testing and oil drilling off our coast to submit their comments to the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management as soon as possible.

For environmental, aesthetic and economic reasons, the planned testing will be certainly detrimental and surely dangerous. Please go online to https://www.boem.gov/National-Program-Participate/ to register your opposition.
