Democrats misread the American people
I’m surprised Democrats shut down our government over DACA (illegal immigrants).
The normally savvy politicians misread the American people. Most Americans want a resolution with DACA, but not at the expense of shutting down our government.
DACA is an immigration problem and doesn’t belong in discussions with our budget. There’s no urgency to resolve DACA as they have until March before it expires. However, Democrats insisted on including it.
Democrats sided with illegal immigrants over Americans who would not receive a paycheck because of the shutdown. That included border agents, firefighters, our military, veterans, all government employees with the exception of Congress.
Can someone explain why Democrats would stand firm with illegals over Americans?
Additionally, Democrats don’t have any original ideas or plans for the future of our country. Their normal mantra is fear and lies to win back the White House and Congress.
Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Chuck Schumer said the Trump tax cuts will result in Armageddon. They said it will be a disaster for children, the poor and middle class, and only the wealthy would benefit. They said millions would lose their health insurance because of the repeal of Obama’s mandate, which is a tax on young Americans.
When more than 200 companies announced the issuance of bonuses to millions of employees of $1,000 to $3,000, Pelosi called the bonuses crumbs. They may be crumbs to multi-millionaires like Pelosi, but to average American families it’s real money.
