Quit ranting about the top 1 percent
Those who fixate their rants on the top 1 percent in this country need to spend their time more productively.
I am not a top 1 percent person and do not object to those who are. More than likely, they are ones who own companies — ones who actually build something or create goods and services that keep the remaining 99 percent of us employed.
In addition, trying to get to the upper 1 percent in this country is a goal. Not for some, apparently, but a goal for many.
They could move to a country that exemplifies the communist doctrine they embrace. Not too sure where that would be since there are so few left. Too much, you say? Well, they could step down a notch and embrace their make-it-free-for-me doctrine in a socialist country. Venezuela ring a bell for you? But socialism only works until the money runs out.
Why don’t they spend their time thinking of a way for the 45 percent of people in this country who pay no income tax yet eat up taxpayer dollars for education, housing, protection and health care actually pay something toward their existence? Everybody who lives in the greatest country on earth should contribute something. Maybe their iPhone, cable or satellite plan may have to be sacrificed, but so be it.
