Letters to the Editor

What has Trump done to help us all?

Why does a frequent letter writer always preface his support for President Donald Trump by denigrating former President Barrack Obama? And, it is always the same old, tired points — like “leading from behind” and Benghazi.

He should just tell us what he likes about Trump. Is it that he wants to take health insurance away from millions of citizens? Is it that he wants to end DACA and deport 800,000 children? Is it that he wants to eliminate estate taxes that only benefits multimillionaires and billionaires? Or, is it the way he insults the media, members of his own party and even ordinary citizens?

I often support good Republican candidates, like former Gov. Nikki Haley and U.S. Rep. Mark Sanford. But, I would never support Trump.

I wish the frequent letter writer would enlighten me. Just tell me one thing Trump advocates that will help us both. But please skip the rant about former President Obama.
