Laurel Bay coverage reeks of smear job
The Island Packet and Beaufort Gazette team on the Laurel Bay story seems biased and their work reeks of a big military smear job.
If you have a scintilla of proof that the site conditions at Laurel Bay are causing health issues among the populace, bring it forward. Otherwise, this indictment of the military by innuendo is offensive and unfair.
As I understand it, the issue has been studied and determined to be bogus, so unless the newspaper has some information it is withholding, three days worth of frothing at the mouth over what appears to be a non-issue is enough.
If you want a real issue to work on, try the ongoing blight of our highways, particularly S.C. 170, by refuse trucks as they haul residential and construction debris to the dump site.
