Walt Graver also was champion of young people

While Walt Graver was a legend on Hilton Head Island best known for his substantial support for the arts and related matters, he must also be recognized for his significant devotion to our young adults and their personal growth and development through education.

Walt Graver, as a founding and active member of the advisory board of the South Carolina Youth Leadership Conference, provided important and meaningful support in establishing the program nearly four years ago. His counsel and backing through the Youths Friends Association was instrumental. It is fair to say without his unwavering and total support of the conference, it would likely not exist today.

Those of us at the conference have been truly blessed to know and work with Walt and are eternally grateful for his unselfish devotion to supporting our young adults in their formative years. We will continue to carry on with our conference as he would wish and will devote the 2018 conference to his memory.
