Thank you: Beaufort County School District Summer Institute
As I begin my 16th year teaching in Beaufort County Schools, I want to sincerely thank everyone involved in the Beaufort County School District’s Summer Institute.
Since the program’s inception, I have never missed this amazing opportunity to interact with other educators throughout the district and to learn about new and innovative techniques that I can take right into my classroom.
N’kia Campbell and other BCSD staff members did a great job of organizing the event, which offered a wide variety of exciting and cutting-edge courses for those in attendance to choose from.
This year included a lunch time question-and-answer session with Superintendent Jeffery Moss. With the many changes that are occurring in our ever-expanding district, there were many questions. Each answer was intended to enlighten the staff as to the district’s logic behind these changes. It was reassuring to learn that the decisions being made at the top have behind them the best interest of both the students and teachers. I am grateful to work for an administration that makes itself not only transparent, but also available to the many employees within its schools.
I am now energized and ready to welcome the students who will be in my care!
