Thank you: Long Cove Club Community Charitable Fund
The Island Recreation Association would like to thank the Long Cove Club Community Charitable Fund for their generous grant. The grant will allow us to provide scholarships for our swim lesson programs to help ensure that no child is affected by their family’s economic situation in our community.
In 2016, our scholarship program provided over $276,000 to 1,100 children. Many families in need are trying to keep their children active, involved, and safe to avoid the potential of them making dangerous life decisions. Our Scholarship Fund helps to provide these children with this opportunity by allowing the children to participate in the sports they love and keeping them involved in our programs promoting a happy healthy lifestyle, and safe before and after school while they are at work in our excellent childcare programs.
We can’t express enough how much we appreciate your support and dedication. Again, we know in our community you have many choices when it comes to charitable giving. Your support of the Island Recreation Association is greatly appreciated. Rest assured, we will continue to earn your support by serving our community with opportunities for a healthier, happier life for everyone.
