Thank you: Arts Center of Coastal Carolina

Five words sum it up: Mama Mia! – What a show!

My wife and I recently had the good fortune to see “Mama Mia!” at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina.

We had previously seen “Mama Mia!” both in New York and Las Vegas, but neither of those performances could begin to compare with what we saw last night in Hilton Head.

The set designs were elegantly simply and simply elegant. We were instantly taken to an island in Greece!

The music was well known to us, but in previous shows, we missed some of the words. Last night, we heard every word, experienced every nuance and felt emotions as they washed over the audience.

The performance immediately drew us in and did not let us go. The choreography was unbelievable. To have that many dancers doing the difficult moves and acrobatics with that kind of speed and enthusiasm was simply over the top. New York City has nothing over this current run of Mama Mia!

When the performers cried, I cried. It was impossible not to be an integral part of the show!

From Director Casey Colgan right on through the actors, dancers, musicians, and technical folks, this was a 10 out of 10.

Thanks to all who made this possible. These performers would not take time from their busy schedules to come here if they didn't believe this was an exceptional facility which provides exceptional audiences. We are so lucky to have this venue.
