GOP must stop Trump
President Donald Trump spoke at the Boy Scout Jamboree. Great opportunity to talk of American ideals, to inspire youth, to set an example. Perhaps you saw parts of it. How great he is, how big he won, how bad the press is, how everyone’s out to get him. All about him. Nothing about those boys. Inappropriate, yes. But obscene is a better word.
Our “leader” can’t lead his own party, which itself is incapable of governance. Consider its record.
Our nation and the integrity of our electoral process have been attacked.
His response is to fire integrity, to kowtow to the enemy who attacked us, to denounce the men and women who dedicate their lives to protect our nation.
He has sworn to uphold the Constitution — and condemns freedom of the press and speech and now wants a dossier on every voter and secret communication channels so as to confer with our enemy.
Prior presidents have altered the truth, but have not systematically and continuously lied to us. They have made grievous errors, but never before have we suspected them — any of them — of treason.
Trump is contemptuous of our allies and of the ideals that have guided this great nation. He is willing to concede to a vicious enemy the great victory that my father and so many others fought for. He is destroying the America we know and love, and a once great political party hasn’t got the guts to stop him.
Arise.
