Don’t leave your brain back home

Regarding the issue of trash on Hilton Head Island beaches, we have come to Hilton Head for some 40 years and have owned property here for at least 25 years. I have long been convinced that when people come to the beach, they leave their brains at home.

It’s not just the trash that is strewn on the beach and along the paths, it’s bicyclers who ride in the street rather than on the bicycle paths, it’s rude people at restaurants and grocery stores, and it’s slobs who rent homes/condos without regard to caring for the property.

I’m reasonably sure that they are not like this at their own home ... thus, the conclusion that their brain is at home rather than with them.
