Thank you: From Beaufort Middle School courtyard project
As a member of the Parent Action Council (PAC) for Beaufort Middle School (BMS), I am proud and very grateful. Through much support, and the generous contribution of time and monies we are nearing completion of a beautiful courtyard renovation project that will be enjoyed for years to come. One word — “enchanting” — was the comment of one parent recently attending an awards ceremony in the courtyard gardens.
Overseeing this project was a pleasure. This letter is a testament to the wonderful volunteerism and strong pride at Beaufort Middle School and the generosity in our community.
We acknowledge and thank the following for their commitment to this special project:
▪ Lowe’s Tool Box Foundation for its $3,500 grant.
▪ Beaufort County School District and BMS administration for their wholehearted support, and to the district for its match of grant monies for bench replacement.
▪ Bud Martin and Eric Knapp of Southern Palmetto Landscape for donation of their lovely concept design and expert consultation.
▪ Savannah Hardscapes for the pavers and supplies donated for our updated memorial garden, and the new art garden.
▪ Parents, students, staff, Boy Scouts and community for their volunteer hours in prepping and planting of the courtyard and for those businesses and individuals who donated items or participated in our successful fundraiser auction and raffle.
▪ And to Don Vosbury, my husband, for his undying support and amazing energy. His role model work ethic was recognized by many BMS students.
