No, Hilton Head is not ruined
In response to the person who resides off the island but recently expressed such a low opinion of Hilton Head Island, I would like to point out that life on the island is not ruined and there is obviously a lot more than three things to do on the island.
Along with golf, there are great tennis facilities open to the public inside and outside the gated communities. Whole families enjoy our miles and miles of walk/jog/bike paths, miniature golf courses and water sports like kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing, personal watercraft and adventurous boat rides.
From a cultural standpoint, there are a professional arts theater, choral society, symphony orchestra, children’s theatrical productions and many other musical venues.
There are fun shops and great restaurants at Shelter Cove, Coligny Plaza, and Harbor Town, just to mention a few.
And to top it all off, we have wonderful worship centers for people of all faiths.
The above list is just a sample of the many things Hilton Head offers for our enjoyment. I think I will just sip my Arnold Palmer drink and watch the beautiful sunset. I am happy to call Hilton Head our home.
