New York mayor out of bounds
The latest report indicates that more than 100 people were protesting at the G20 summit in Germany. I am at a loss to understand what they were protesting about and why such activity should require the destruction of private property.
I am even more surprised that the mayor of New York City, Bill De Blasio, should feel the need to jump in an airplane to join them. This man holds the office of mayor in a city that most of the world’s population recognizes, and I would suggest respects, especially after the Twin Towers tragedy.
Is he so short of attention that this is his only way to get mentioned in the world media, or for that matter any other media? I sincerely hope that the New York City voters remember this in the future as I am sure many other Americans will, with the same degree of surprise, disgust and apprehension as I do.
