Why not charge Sea Pines to come outside the gates?
It’s disappointing to read that Sea Pines may soon be charging $10 to visit Lawton Stables and the many businesses located inside their community.
There is no other reason to visit if not to shop or eat at one of the restaurants. None.
I can’t recall a single time we have gone there that we did not spend money and, now, I am to be charged an additional fee for the “privilege” of supporting those businesses. I will decline.
Unfortunately, my gated community does not get a free pass to sail right through the guard gate as Hilton Head Plantation does.
Sea Pines is part of the island known as Hilton Head. Maybe its residents should be charged to come outside their gates to spend their money at our businesses and eateries. We have to pay our own home owners’ associations — why pay theirs?
