Thank you: St. Francis Thrift Shop
The Island Recreation Association would like to thank the St. Francis Thrift Shop for their generous donation to our Scholarship Fund. The grant will allow us to provide every child affected by their family’s economic situation in our community with the opportunity to participate in all our programs. In 2016, our scholarship program provided over $276,000 to 1,100 children. Many families in need are trying to keep their children’s active, involved, and safe to avoid the potential of them making dangerous life decisions. Our Scholarship Fund helps to provide these children with this opportunity by allowing the children to participate in the sports they love and keeping them involved in our programs promoting a happy healthy lifestyle, and safe before and after school while they are at work in our excellent childcare programs. We can’t express enough how much we appreciate your support and dedication. Again, we know in our community you have many choices when it comes to charitable giving. Your support of the Island Recreation Association is greatly appreciated.
