Don’t backtrack on healthcare

You had a touching, honest article on the heart rending experience of Jimmy Kimmel’s baby born with a very serious heart defect.

What was not mentioned in the article, and a large part of Kimmel’s message, is that this child now has a “preexisting condition.” This will follow him for life. As our Congress examines each new health plan, let us remember we are all vulnerable. And as such, preexisting conditions should be off the table. Let us not backtrack.
