When immigrants had to fend for themselves

What a difference a century makes.

President Barack Obama flew thousands of Islamic Muslims into our country, in addition to allowing thousands immigrants to enter our country illegally. They weren’t vetted and were bussed to towns and cities without informing the local governments. They were given welfare, food stamps, etc.

My parents were immigrants in the early 20th century, coming from Italy and traveling five weeks on the ocean in deplorable conditions. Upon arrival on Ellis Island and spending several days being vetted, they were released to live in New York City’s tenements. There weren’t any food stamps or welfare programs and they had to fend for themselves.

These refugees came with nothing and expected nothing and built our country. My father worked in the WPA program. These workers built our buildings, roads, bridges, airports, dams, parks, etc. If you didn’t work, you didn’t survive.

What did Obama’s immigrants contribute, other than drain our economy and allow MS-13 gangs to grow and fester throughout our country?

Additionally, I can’t understand why Democrats and followers cannot understand, and won’t accept, President Donald Trump’s picks of cabinet secretaries and advisers because they are millionaires, billionaires and generals. These individuals are the most successful in their fields. They don’t need theses jobs and most will donate their salaries.

We already had a community organizer as president, and almost had a ex-president’s wife running our country, and look at the disaster that was left. Remember, you will never receive a job from a poor person.
