Letter: Hilton Head should spend where it is needed most

The Hilton Head Island town manager in a recent article is suggesting volunteers are needed to help restore our beach dunes after Hurricane Matthew. Apparently, the town does not have the money.

Yet our mayor and a number of our Town Council members continue, in my judgment, to push for an arts center. Our greatest resource is our beach. Let’s spend our money wisely.
