Letter: Electoral College better than ever

The Blues (Dems) continue to lament “the Donald’s” astounding win, now citing the Electoral College as being at “fault.”

Granted, Hillary Clinton outscored Donald Trump by more than 2 million votes, but California alone gave her a 4.3 million-vote margin, and, really, who among us would want a USA run like California? Or Illinois? Or especially Illinois?

Apply the same “logic” to Major League Baseball and the Yankees should run away with the championship every year because they have by far the biggest payroll. The Electoral College is serving its intended purpose better than ever.

Even the Blues should smile at one election inaction. Consider the hundreds of millions of dollars freely “contributed” to the Clinton Foundation by many Wall Street firms and foreign governments, all giddy with quid pro quo anticipation and excitement. Now there’ll be none. Nada. Silly fools. They were so enamored with her amoral charms that they neglected to have their lawyers insert clawback provisions in the event of her ultimate failure. Tsk tsk.
