Letters to the Editor

Letter: Was he supposed to nominate liberals?

We dodged a bullet. We barely survived eight years of the worst administration in history.

President Obama’s two terms were racked with scandals, lies and deception. Could you imagine surviving eight years of Hillary Clinton, and the policies of Obama and Bernie Sanders. Thank goodness that won’t happen.

Obama commented on Donald Trump’s promise to keep manufacturing from moving jobs to Mexico by asking, “What magic wand do you have?” No, Mr. President, he has a phone and he used it to call the chairman of Carrier and through negotiations saved 1,100 jobs. Unfortunately, the art of negotiating is something Obama didn’t learn as a community organizer.

The liberal crybabies will not accept Trump as our new president and will criticize every move he makes, i.e. appointing too many billionaires, too many generals, too many conservatives. The old saying bears repeating, “Did you ever get a job from a poor person?”

They are even criticizing who Trump speaks to (the president of Taiwan).

Did they expect him to nominate liberals? I can’t wait for their reaction when he nominates a Supreme Court justice. I wonder why they haven’t commented on the four women nominated. Trump has picked the brightest and most successful individuals in their field and hasn’t picked anyone not capable of doing the job, as Obama did in selecting cronies, i.e Hillary for Secretary of State.

Finally, paraphrasing Obama, “Elections have consequences, we won, you lost, get over it.”
