Letter: Vote for Trump a matter of survival

Now that the election is over, we can thank President Barack Obama for being such a pathetic leader that citizens came to realize that President-elect Donald Trump was the only true path to redemption. The election demonstrated that traditional American values still have meaning for numerous Americans. Many wanted to “make America great again.”

Unfortunately, under President Obama’s rule, immigration control was and is nonexistent; the economy was and is in the toilet; President Obama lobbied more for foreign laborers than for American workers; and international respect was devastated.

The U.S. became racially divided as a result of the president’s guidance, and to further mask the future, we now have people who are unable to face controversy without a mental breakdown. Consequently, we have a nation of people who have no respect for legitimacy. Some legacy.

An example of the Obama influence was noted in a disgusting column by Leonard Pitts Jr. published in this newspaper, for mysterious reasons. The column reflected a sickening mind, one that desperately wants to keep America divided. But the point to make is that after eight years of inept leadership, the American public said, “enough is enough” and decided to elect someone who could recover the economy and make U.S. cities safe again. It came down to a matter of survival.

From President John Quincy Adams: “Always vote for principle ...”

From Vince Lombardi: “If you can’t accept losing, you can’t win.”
