Letter: Diverse opinions broaden view

Thanks to The Island Packet and The Beaufort Gazette for running a variety of opinion pieces in the section “Other Viewpoints.”

By offering diverse opinions from writers such as Kathleen Parker, George Will, David Brooks, Charles Krauthammer, and Leonard Pitts, you keep your newspapers from becoming just another echo chamber.

I especially enjoy Pitts, with whom I am often in agreement, since he offers a well-reasoned perspective not found elsewhere. Thanks for trying to broaden our view of the world around us.
