Letter: Election protests don’t hold water

Freedom of speech does not extend to violating the rights of others. There is an old saying “Your rights end where my nose begins.”

Also, those who don’t like the Electoral College approach as specified in Article II and Amendment XII of the Constitution can change it under Article V, which requires ratification by three-fourths of the states.

The liberal West Coast and Northeast states may inflate the popular vote total, but they thankfully do not control the majority of electoral votes and the direction of our country.
