Letter: Insulting voters is disgraceful
It’s unfortunate that a recent article stated South Carolina residents as well as U.S. citizens are not smart, intelligent and educated due to the recent election outcome.
You see, you have it completely wrong. The smart, educated, working class Americans of all colors, religions, gender were of sound mind when we voted for the person we feel will lead this country in a direction that won’t be corrupt, and won’t steal our money to make their own pockets wealthy beyond any other.
Being the first woman means absolutely nothing when she brings a plethora of baggage with her. No one could begin to carry that weight, which she brought upon herself. All of us smart, intelligent, educated Americans saw right through it.
Name-calling and insulting us is disgraceful. When it was written, “All intelligent people understand the severity of these results” it was right on point. We are the intelligent segment who put the right person in the White House, preparing to place our country first and foremost back on track. We intelligent population who voted for Donald Trump are looking forward to wonderful beginnings, a refreshing clean-out of Washington with lasting memories of a thriving country once again.
I adore our fellow intelligent, smart, educated, well-informed South Carolinians and our fellow intelligent, smart, educated well-informed Americans who used their right to vote and did so proudly. The Americans spoke, so instead of being nasty because your candidate didn’t win (thank God), stop playing the victim card. It really isn’t becoming.
