Letter: Hope Trump puts country first

I was just reading The Week. It is an excellent magazine that is published by the same people who publish Time magazine.

As I read the commentaries, I realized that Donald Trump never planned to win. He spoke to bigots, women haters, and fringe elements with the idea that he would lose and Hillary Clinton would win. Surprise, he won.

I am not sure what that says about our country but I do know that he realizes that he must be the president. I am hoping he will surround himself with people who will put the country first.
