Letter: New school board member ready to serve

I am honored and humbled by the opportunity to represent District 9 as a member of the Beaufort County Board of Education.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the beautiful process leading up to this election, especially my campaign team and those who endorsed me: Citizens Advocating Responsible Education and state Rep. Jeff Bradley.

Throughout this campaign I have learned a great deal by listening to my opponents’ perspectives, visiting with my constituents, and thoroughly canvassing all of District 9’s unique neighborhoods. The knowledge I gained will only enhance my ability to improve education in Beaufort County, and I am committed to representing all of District 9 by continuing to listen and learn.
