Letter: Be prepared to suffer for next 4 years

Can you hear the constant drip? I fear it does not have the pleasant smell of coffee as the water permeates the coarsely ground fresh beans. I hope Americans are prepared to endure four years of nauseous news as we read about the misadventures of our next president. Whether it’s the constant drip of misspoken words from a novice politician or the dribble from a consummate long serving elected official that has a reputation for boldfaced lies and cover-ups for a generation, the die has been cast.

Expect to hear about Trump’s inexperience, building walls, philandering, and usage of tax breaks, which are also used by all corporate giants because they are the law of the land. The Trumps, Clintons, and most other filthy rich Americans can thank our Congress for providing these incentives to spur employment and raise campaign money.

Expect to hear about corruption, emails, pay to play, or enabling a womanizing husband and past President. The media will have ample faucets trickling for the next four years.

Do you want to hear about untimely and suspicious deaths during the Clinton years and women coming out of the closet to accuse men of decades-old sexual misdeeds? The scourge is deeply embedded in American politics.

American’s love their candidates regardless how odorous or corrupt. So, prepare to suffer for the next four years and endure a President that should be added to the manure heap behind the barn to mask their stench as it drips into the new lexicon of American politics.
