Letter: A better way for America
My brother-in-law recently had jury duty. The jury heard all the evidence, then retired to a room where they could come to an agreement. And I thought, wouldn’t it be wonderful if Congress could do the same thing?
Let the president say nothing until Congress presents its case to him or her. There would be no show for people to watch politicians rant a rave about things they know nothing about. It would be just specific details as to what is best for the country.
No catch phrases like “Reagonomics” or “Obamacare.” The sound of those might get misinterpreted as to the current president’s feelings. I get the feeling now that if Obamacare was Bushcare and Reagonmics was Obamanomics people might feel the same.
Donald Trump has said he wanted to install is own health care plan and get rid of Obamacare. Would he still feel the same way if it was Bushcare?
My point is that some politicians just make speeches bad mouthing the president with no solutions. Let’s put all these people in a room, lock the door, and let them come to some sort of a solution for all our problems. Health care, trade deficits, minimum wage, finance, global warming and pollution seem more important than name calling.
