Letter: No good reason to back Trump
I have watched politics since 1952. Never before has a candidate sought to destroy the process itself. Al Gore conceded a probably stolen election, as did Richard Nixon. Why? Because they were loyal Americans. This year Bernie Sanders ran the cleanest campaign in American history — now we see the filthiest. Banana republics imprison the opposition, not the greatest republic in history.
Democratic Party emails are being hacked by Russia — and Democrats, not the man who wants to end NATO and more, are guilty. We are the only nation to ever use nuclear weapons and it is our sacred duty to see that they are never used again. It’s a duty to the world, to our children and grandchildren. Trump likes war. We have just survived a very strange storm. How many Chinese did you see fomenting it? Perhaps our children would prefer rapid nuclear annihilation to the slower torture of all-too-real climate change.
You pay your taxes. You pay your debts. You don’t run fraudulent universities. And you back someone who does the opposite? Yeah, I know — you hate Hillary. Do you have any idea how many millions have been spent to make you think that?
And the women. He is not alone, but some at least know when they are wrong. He lies about it, and you know it. Will you vote for a man who stares you in the face and blatantly lies to you?
